Between the Asphalt and the Big Blue Sky - Ink Fusion Art - OKC

What if I. M. Pei were to design your city? Well, it almost happened. The great architect once added to the Louvre in Paris with an underground add-on covered by a glass pyramid - yeah, that guy.
Back in 1965, he was hired to redesign OKC. It didn't work out. About 530 buildings were torn down. A loss of architectural heritage. Turns out, it is easier to tear down than to build. Frank Lloyd Wright could build the Prairie House with a client/architect relationship. Pei discovered it doesn't work as easily with a city council all with limited budgets, visions, and agendas. The project was never finished.
The city is still in recovery mode...at least in my opinion.
I created this view of Oklahoma City on a sheet of aluminum using ink fusion. It comes with a metal hanger for easy wall display.
