Ode to the Lowly Taco

One of my weaknesses and why I like junk food is the lowly Jack in the Box taco. At two for $1.39, handed out the window at the drive thru to your extended arm while you sit behind the wheel...well, nothing could be easier or more satisfying than that. Paired with 3 egg rolls or some sandwich and you've got a bad but happy diet you mama likely warned you about.

I find that they taste like a Matamoros, Mexico street version of candy...crunchy outside with a cheesy spicy meat treat inside. I'm not saying I don't get better tacos at fine restaurants...but if I went poor and relied on these twice a week, I'd be okay.

I realize that Burger King now has a bigger taco at 99 cents...but its like a lot of things from the king...kind of like something invented from an industrial kitchen in Indiana. Taste is okay, but lacking something... But, at a buck, who can complain? Not me. I'm just giving my opinion.
