Marriott Mayflower DC

Friday Night Art will be reviewing the Marriott Mayflower Hotel in DC in two parts, today and tomorrow. #fridaynightart

This is indeed, the hotel of presidents. I stayed in the room next to where FDR penned his inaugural speech in 1933! J. Edgar Hoover ate lunch here for years in the Rib Room (now Edgar's) on the ground floor. Senator John F. Kennedy had an apartment here (You can't sleep in the Senate chair!) The Mayflower in DC has been made part of the Marriott Autograph Collection and it does not disappoint. And, adding to the variety of Marriott Owners, a Pulse floor is converted to cover vacation owners who want a city experience over a resort.

Pulse has quickly become my favorite option. I recommend the Mayflower for its comfort, hospitality, and fabulous DC location.

James Rice is a fabulous asset. We loved talking with Brackeen. All the staff is gracious!

Historic Ballroom Hall

The historic hallway for the ballrooms keep their historic and grand look that belongs to this hotel.

Brackeen at the Mayflower DC

Brackeen is an example of the staff of the Mayflower in DC. He is gracious and kind. We loved talking with him as he took a few minutes to fill us in on the history of the hotel. So happy to meet him!
